Apart from running the tunneling software. What exactly does it do?

My laptop is ATM a delicate balance of networks and settings that may or may not work sometimes. So i dont know if the tunneling software would mess my balance of sometimes working up and turn it into always not working.
No man is exempt from saying silly things; the mischief is to say them deliberately.

The tunneling software helps you connect to IPV6 servers

And yes its free Usenet with a ok retention rate.. unlike your ISPs fairly pisch retention....

Liam I would maybe leave it tbh.. if you have a few networks this may hamper them .. works fine for me though

    S'what it sounds like.

When you signed up to the site ..you should have filled a Desired ID box in.. you have to put that and your password in as well as authenticated.freenet6.net as the gateway address

    if you haven't already

I sometimes get errors connecting ..usually tsp errors. I just keep clicking connect a few times till it does.

Im assuming it might the hexago driver working itself..but try the connect a few times trick as it works for me more often than not.Even a uninstall and re-install might work.

as for your log... open the go 6 client then click the log tab then "open log tab" then it should appear ..you can then copy and paste from there.

Ive gotta dash now but as soon as I get up I will take a look here again and see if I can help pal

    Right. I need some help.

I open the client, and input my username and pass; which I assume is from go6?

But it doesn't connect, it says
supported on the Gateway6. Please change your configured authentication method.
Consult the log file for details

Have you changed your gateway address too authenticated.freenet6.net

or on the advanced tab there's a option were you can change the connect to the preferred gateway in there you can try putting amsterdam.freenet6.net

the rest of the options Ive left untouched
