Below you will find instructions on how to repair your PS3 if it ever gets the YLOD. I have done this myself as my PS3 was out of warranty and them Sony w****rs wanted to charge me £145 for a refurb with a 3 month warranty. My PS3 has been going strong now for about 2 months since I done this and runs as quiet as the day I bought it, and all it cost me was £20 for a heat gun and 3 hours of my time.

So is it to do with cold soldier? and heating it up re-sets it?

Because the soldier will keep cracking.

Also re flux the area , ie squirt some under the chip (dont go mad with it) , before re heating and also take off the spreader plate , I have had a lot of success with tracfic lighting PS3 consoles using that method:thumb:
